Lend a Hand_095Lend-A-Hand Tutoring at the CBA

In 2016, Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth launched its own tutoring program, Lend-A-Hand Tutoring at the CBA. The program partners with the Montessori School of Englewood, a public charter school, to provide free one-to-one tutoring and mentoring to students from Englewood.

The objectives of the Lend-A-Hand Tutoring program include:

  • Creating a caring long-term relationship between students and adult volunteers
  • Improving student reading skills
  • Bolstering student academic performance

Tutoring takes place on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:00 p.m. from September to mid-May at the Chicago Bar Association, 321 S. Plymouth Court, Chicago, IL.

If you are interested in getting involved, you can fill out our Volunteer Information sheet on our Volunteer page or contact Kathryn McCabe at kmccabe@lawyerslendahand.org or 312-554-2041.
