Lawyer Lifts 3/4 Ton Annually to Support Inner City Mentoring Programs

Dan Cotter, Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth's Board Chair, lifted 1,360 pounds on July 28, 2012, at the American Powerlifting Federation- Amateur American Powerlifting Federation Chicago Summer Bash. 

Lifting to Lend-A-Hand X marks multiple milestones.  Dan originally committed to a ten-year campaign, and this is year ten.  His goal for those ten years has been $250,000, and he has come close, raising approximately $200,000 in cash and in-kind support.  Recently, Dan celebrated his 45th birthday. His personal goal for Lifting to Lend-A-Hand X is to raise $45,000.

Dan and the programs supported by Lawyers Lend-A-hand need your support.

You can support Dan by pledging an amount by the pound or a flat amount.  Dan is also soliciting sponsorships.  For his biggest donors, in addition to name recognition in the program book and on check he will present at the My Hero Awards Luncheon on Thursday, September 20, 2012, donors at the following levels will also receive tickets to the luncheon:

  • 1 ton club - $2,000 or $1.33 per pound - 8 tickets (a table can be 8-10 seats)
  • 3/4 ton club - $1,500 or $1 per pound - 6 tickets
  • 1/2 ton club - $1,000 or $.67 per pound - 4 tickets
  • 1/4 ton club - $500 or $.33 per pound- 2 tickets
